6/6/23-With the arrival of June, the pace of news has slowed. Most contests and shows are over and now comes the task of getting everything ready for next year. I want to thank all my students; we had a terrific year. From shows, to contests and awards Everglades K-8 Center has shown that it is a 1st class art program, the "Little Engine" that can! I also want to thank all those great parents that supported our program and helped out when they could. I look forward to next year and if you thought this year was great just wait till 2023-2024! See you around, Mr. David.

The two students worked very hard coming up with concepts and made several designs before coming up with a finished product. Their vision includes buildings that use planter-balconies to grow fruits and vegetables. Spaces between buildings are also utilized for growing vine vegetables and fruits. On the rooftops are wind and solar generators that power the irrigation and lighting systems. Among the buildings are beehives that will pollinate the plants as well as produce honey.
